Bringing Detroit TOUGHNESS to American Business

What is Business Aversion?

Economic climates take on a life of their own. Even in a robust economy, many factors still demonstrate BUSINESS AVERSION. In other words, certain economic conditions, competition, operational knowledge and/or lack of market foresight can cause the best of ideas to fail even in the best of times. Whether you are a profit or nonprofit company, revenue streams need to be greater coming in than going out, to state the obvious.

BUSINESS AVERSION prevents the positives from occurring that will have your business in a positive capital position. So... how do you avoid BUSINESS AVERSION? Here's a quick story that will shed a great deal of light on what is required of a business owner or nonprofit director. In my early thirties I did a marketing presentation for the board of a major insurance company. The idea was quite new to the industry. When done the Executive President simply said, "You have your plan, now WORK your plan". What cannot be overlooked was the sheer amount of preparation that provided me an audience with this major company's Board of Directors.

The objective of Detroit Survival is to provide you with direction and instruction to insure you have prepared yourself for business launch or, if existing, that you have necessary documents in place to go to the next level. Whether something as simple as budgeting or as involved as capitalization, we will provide the document steps to get the entrepreneur thinking in a positive direction.
